Storage, storage, storage. Every time I hear this word I can’t help but imagine Shaynna Blaze walking through a room-reveal on The Block. It’s your biggest pain-point and hands down the most requested customisation we receive in emails.
They go something like this; “We’ve just moved into our new apartment and grossly underestimated how much space we’d have … or “We’re downsizing from our family home to a smaller apartment and we’re taking everything with us”.
It’s human nature to form attachments to pieces and carry them with you from house to house... I know only too well, I’ve only recently gone through the boxes that I stuffed everything into after fashion-school seven years ago. And you know what? I’ve kept most of it.
I can hear Shaynna’s voice again bringing me back to my point - storage. This desire to hold on to our things and the reality of living in smaller spaces, we think is the reason why our drawer beds have become our most requested
designs.
Function is the first thing we think of when designing our beds and in particular custom-builds that need to fit a specific space and serve as a space saving solution.
